The Olsen twins are known for their low-maintenance look, and now their hairstylist has revealed the secret to their signature no-fuss hairstyles.
According to Mark Townsend, Mary-Kate and Ashley, 27, swear by dry shampoo to get that tousled-yet-tame look as well as an 'amazing texture'.
'Everything I know about hair texture, I learned from Mary-Kate and Ashley,' he told New York Magazine. 'They are blessed with having great texture and natural wave in their hair, so we don't have to spend a lot of time to get that perfectly tousled look.
To maintain its glossiness, Mary-Kate and Ashley use a DIY leave-in conditioner mix made for them by their hairstylist, with natural ingredients including coconut oil, almond oil, jojoba oil and vitamin E.
'I told them to put it in their hair before swimming and while in the sun,' he explained.
'When they got back [from vacation], they both asked me for more and I could feel a huge difference in their hair,' he added. 'They use it a couple times a week and leave it in for up to an hour.'
